Age Grid - Verify player's age using the age grid. Remember, the oldest player on your team determines the age group.

SCHWAN'S USA CUP Weekend:

Eligibility grid

Schwan's USA CUP Weekend accepts only the top two levels of play per age division for boys and girls, ages U9-U19. 'A' and 'B' Flights are offered for U11-U12; U13-U19 teams are accepted into a single, open 'A' Flight. U9-U10 Jamboree teams are scheduled into groups of similar competitive ability.

Level of Play Eligibility - Minnesota Teams:  U9-U10: Maroon, Gold; U11: Classic II, Classic III; U12: Classic I, Classic II; U13: Classic I, Classic II; U14-U19: Premier, Classic I

SCHWAN'S USA CUP accepts:

Eligibility grid

Schwan's USA CUP accepts all levels of competition, offering three flights of competition for boys and girls, ages U9-U19.

• 6v6 Jamboree: U9-U10 teams scheduled into groups of similar competitive ability.
• Cup Flight: Teams are generally formed from multiple communities as all-star or premier teams, in order to compete with nationally recognized teams.
• Trophy Flight: Teams are generally competitive, community-based teams that desire a higher level of competition. Trophy Flight may also include all-star or premier teams from smaller geographical areas or teams that are not yet ready to compete at the Cup Flight.
• Medal Flight: Teams are community-based  club teams who are not ready to compete at the Cup or Trophy Flights, but are interested in participating in an international event.
• Teams applying for a flight, but not accepted at that flight, will automatically be considered for the flight that the ranking committee feels best matches the team's competitive abilities. Teams will be notified of initial fight assignment prior to acceptance.

 

June Ranking

• All teams will be re-ranked beginning June 1 against each team in each age bracket and flight.
• Coaches will have the opportunity to update their league/tournament records for flight assignments prior to re-ranking beginning June 1, 2008.
• Coaches will be notified via email of the procedure and deadline for all team updates.
• Coaches will be notified of final flight assignments on or before July 1.
